MCBK NA Chapter Organizational Meeting

The Mobilizing Computable Biomedical Knowledge (MCBK) North America Chapter Organizational Meeting took place July 19, 2023

The North America chapter of MCBK (MCBK-NA) has been formed in light of MCBK becoming a global movement. A virtual organizational meeting of MCBK-NA was held on July 19, 2023, 3-5 p.m. EDT, to formally launch the chapter. 

At this organizational meeting, we shared updates on global and national MCBK efforts, as well as plans for the first MCBK-NA Meeting in January 2024. We also discussed MCBK-NA’s transition to more of a membership entity.

If you haven’t signed up as an NA charter member, you may do so by emailing MCBK-info@umich.edu to let us know that you’d like to join. Benefits of being a member include:

• A voice in shaping the priorities, policies and directions of the MCBK movement

• Opportunities to work within the three existing MCBK-NA working groups (Standards and Infrastructure, Trust and Policy, Sustainability and Inclusion) —and to initiate new working groups

• Opportunities to interact with international colleagues with like minded interests and priorities

• Waived or reduced registration fees for future MCBK meetings

• Reduced author publication charges for articles published in Learning Health Systems, the official journal of MCBK
